HOW TO GET TO US

Air

The best  airport to fly to is Pisa, served by the low cost airline Ryanair (www.ryanair.com) from all over Europe. Jet2.com and EasyJet also fly to Pisa from various European locations as well as Alitalia, Air France and Lufthansa who all offer regular services.

Genoa airport, although slightly closer, is less well served by low cost airlines - Ryanair from London Stansted and British Airways from London Gatwick.

Rail

From Genoa airport take the Airbus no.100 (departs outside the doors of the arrival terminal every half hour, costs two Euros) or Taxi (costs 18 Euros) to the Stazione Principe railway station in Genoa.  From here take a train to Sestri Levante.

From Pisa take a train to Pisa centre and then catch a train to Sestri Levante.

We remind our guests that you must time stamp your rail tickets in the yellow stamping machines to validate them before boarding the train otherwise you could be fined!

From Sestri Levante take either the bus 50 or 52 direct to Velva, the buses leave the station several times a day.

Road

Car hire is available from both airports . The journey time from  Pisa is approximately 1 hour 30 minutes and from Genoa, 1 hour 15 minutes.

You can use the www.viamichelin.it website to plan your route. Key in your starting location and under 'Arrivo' (Cap, citta, localita), key in '16030 VELVA' for a full map and directions.
